Operating a safe and secure service is a priority for any public sector organisation. We take security and assurance seriously.

Some of the sites we host use WordPress and we have lots of experience with making our sites more secure. We routinely perform audits, code reviews and penetration testing so we can identify vulnerabilities and mitigate against the risks that our clients face.

Security audits

Our WordPress audits interrogate sites to extract information about users, code changes, malicious content, plugin and theme versions and reputation, sites and more. We’ll help you interpret this information to produce actionable insights to improve your security or remedy past breaches.

Penetration testing

Our penetration tests are manual, and replicate the steps a concerted attacker might take to compromise your service. They’ll help you find the issues an attacker would uncover, so that you can fix them first.

Plugin code reviews

Before we install WordPress plugins, we carry out a targeted code review to assess the plugin code’s quality and the potential it has to introduce security problems. We can carry these code reviews out for others, on request.

We publish all outcomes of plugin reviews and advisories on our security site.
