Ann joins the team!

Hi, I’m Ann. I’m joining dxw in June as the new Delivery Manager. I’ll be keeping a sharp eye across all of our projects, making sure things are delivered on time and to dxw’s high standard. I’ll also be working closely with clients, so a hello to you all in advance. You may already know me: I’ve been working in the public sector and the digital space for the past 7 years.

I’m moving across from the Government Communication Network at the Cabinet Office where I’ve been running the GCN website for the last five years, three of those as a very happy client of dxw. I’ve had sole responsible for community management and the long term technical development of the site. I’m proud to say that GCN was the first website in government to use BuddyPress.

I have years of experience translating between non technical/non design oriented people and those who specialise in these fields and can help as a helpful bridge, speaking in a language both sides understand.

In my spare time I also am co-founder of 300 Seconds, a project helping encourage more women (and other under-represented groups) in the tech and digital fields to get involved with speaking at events and conferences. It’s evolved out of the recent debates around all male panels at events and conferences. You can find us on the web and on Twitter. I also run the CommsCamp series of events.

I’m really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this new role – it’s a great small company and a cracking team of geeks doing great things with digital in the public sector.
